Get ready to slide, race, and play at the Annual Slide-A-Thon on Saturday, September 27, 2025!

This beloved fall fundraiser celebrates the joy of play while raising essential support for Smith and our iconic Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide, a 120-year-old, one-of-a-kind play structure that has brought joy to generations and requires ongoing care to keep it safe and sliding for years to come.

Whether you're teaming up with family, friends, neighbors, or coworkers, Slide-A-Thon is a day packed with friendly competition, playground challenges, and all-ages fun. Enjoy obstacle courses, slide games, team relays, arts and crafts for the little ones, and plenty of open play across Smiths 6.5-acre site.

Create a team made up of family members, school groups, book clubs, fitness crews, and office squads are all welcome. Bonus points for creative costumes and clever team names!

At the heart of the event is the Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide, measuring 12.5 feet wide and 40 feet long. Waxed for optimal speed and fun, its the source of countless intergenerational memories for thousands of families - and your participation helps keep it that way.
