As many Philadelphians know, the Giant Wooden Slide is not only the source of priceless intergenerational memories, it also embodies how Smith is essential to the families of Philadelphia and beyond. Since 1899, Smith has been a free, safe space for children of all backgrounds to join together in play and grow into strong, confident individuals despite personal circumstances or societal challenges. At Smith's third annual Slide-A-Thon, the Giant Wooden Slide is all yours! The event will raise funds to help support Smith's mission-driven work which includes welcoming some 200,000 visitors annually from families in every zip code in the city, and providing educational and advocacy programs that harness the power of play to help communities thrive.
