First Annual Slide-A-Thon

Enjoy private and exclusive access to the Giant Wooden Slide and team-building games to support Smith!  This event will adhere to the latest CDC guidelines for cleanliness and social distancing.

As many Philadelphians know, the Giant Wooden Slide is not only a source  of priceless intergenerational memories, it also embodies how Smith is essential to the families of Philadelphia and beyond.  Since 1899, Smith has been a free, safe space for children of all different backgrounds to come together to play and grow into strong, confident individuals despite personal circumstances or societal challenges. At Smith's first annual Slide-A-Thon, the Giant Wooden Slide is all yours! The event will raise funds to help support Smiths which includes welcoming nearly 200,000 visitors annually from families in every zip code in the City, and providing educational and advocacy programs that use the power of play to help children, families, and communities thrive. All participants will receive a complimentary sliding sack to bring home, courtesy of La Colombe Coffee.

Attend the Slide-A-Thon

Registered teams will have exclusive access to the Slide and will compete with peer to peer fundraising, costume contest and most slides during their time block! Registration is $25 per individual and teams can have up to 20 participants, which include adults and children. Companies and organizations may register their teams here. A minimum of one name is required for registration, names of the remaining team members may be submitted online emailed to cheryl@smithplayground.org by Friday, August 21.
